The doctor couple, Riya and Rohan, sat in their living room watching the news on a rainy night. The sound of the rain hitting the windows and roof was soothing to them after a long day of work at the hospital.

Rohan and Riya had everything but no children. So, they devoted their lives to giving back to the community, especially to deserving children and orphans, by providing them with free medical treatment at their own hospital. With their tireless efforts and hard work, they were finally successful in establishing their dream venture - the RR Hospital - which was named after the first letters of their names.

As they watched the news, their attention was drawn to a breaking story about a group of criminals wandering in the city of Patna in Bihar. The police had an encounter with the criminals but couldn't capture them. Riya shook her head in disbelief and said, "The city is becoming more and more dangerous every day."

"Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident," he said, shaking his head. "It seems like every day, there's some terrible news waiting for us."Rohan commented as he took a sip of his wine before sighing heavily.

Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door that startled them both. They looked at each other, unsure of what to do. Startled by the knock on their door, they immediately became apprehensive, considering the recent reports of criminal activity in the city. They wondered if it was a sign of danger or a call for help.

Rohan walked over to the window and peered through the glass, seeing a group of four men and a severely injured man screaming for help.

Rohan cautiously asked through the window, "What's going on? Who are you?"

"We're from the same village. A group of robbers attacked this man and his wife. She was killed in the attack. We need your help to save his life," one of the men replied panting.

Rohan's eyes widened at the mention of the attack. He had just watched a news report about criminal activity in the city, and the coincidence was not lost on him.

"Are you sure you're not part of the gang? How can we trust you?" Rohan asked, his suspicion evident.

One of the men shook his head in disagreement and said, "We have no transportation possibility in this rainy night, and we heard you're the closest doctors in the area. Please, help us save this man's life."

Riya and Rohan exchanged apprehensive glances. Rohan hesitated for a moment longer before finally nodding and opening the door. Because, after assessing the man's condition for a few seconds and realizing the severity of his injuries, Rohan knew he couldn't turn him away.

So, they eventually decided to trust the group's story as their expressions and words seemed genuine.

Finally,Riya stepped forward, her medical training kicking in. "Let them in, Rohan. It's our duty to help those in need, no matter who they are."

The group rushed in, and Rohan and Riya quickly assessed the man's injuries.Rohan found a deep wound on the man's left chest. "This looks like a gunshot wound. Was he shot by the gang?" Rohan asked, his voice laced with concern.

"We don't know," one of the men replied. "We heard the man and his wife screaming, and we ran to their house. By the time we got there, the robbers had already fled with everything they had saved."

Rohan's heart sank at the realization of what had happened. He knew they had to act fast to save the man's life. After quickly assessing the man's injuries, they administered some initial treatment to stabilize his condition.

Chapter 2

The group of men were worried about the man's condition and demanded that the doctors take him to the hospital for proper treatment. Riya and Rohan were hesitant, as they were unsure if it was safe to venture out in the rainy night with a critically injured man.

Riya voiced her concerns, "It's not safe to travel in this weather. We can't risk the patient's life."

The men pleaded with them, "We understand your concerns, but please, we don't have any other options. Our village is far from here, and there is no hospital nearby. We heard that you are good doctors, and we trust that you can save him."

Rohan, understanding the gravity of the situation, agreed to take the man to the hospital. "We'll do everything we can to save his life. Let's take him to the hospital now."

Riya nodded in agreement, "We'll need to be careful on the way. Let's go."

Rohan quickly went outside and started his car. "Bring the injured man to the car carefully," he instructed the men. Two of the villagers carefully lifted the injured man and placed him in the back seat of Rohan's car.

"Please handle him carefully,We don't want to aggravate his injury,"

Rohan said with a serious concern.

"You two, get in the backseat with him," Rohan said to the men before getting into the driver's seat.

Meanwhile, Riya had also come outside and started her car. "You two, get into my car," she said to the remaining villagers, motioning to the open backseat. The two villagers quickly got into her car, and Riya followed behind Rohan's car as they made their way to the hospital.

As the car approached the city, they drove through a desolate area, and suddenly Rohan felt a cold, metallic object pressed against the back of his head. He turned around quickly to see a man holding a gun to his head.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Rohan asked, his heart racing.

"We're in trouble with the police," the man replied in a low, menacing voice. "The injured man in the back seat was wounded in a police encounter, and we need to get him to safety. If the police come asking questions, you didn't see anything, you didn't hear anything, and you don't know anything. And if you try anything foolish, your wife will pay the price."

Rohan was shaken by the threat, and he pleaded with the men to spare his wife, offering to do whatever they wanted.

"We're not going to hurt her," the man with the gun assured him. "But she'll be staying with us until we're in the clear. You need to keep your mouth shut, or else."

Rohan nodded frantically, his mind racing with fear and uncertainty. He couldn't believe this was happening to him. All he could do now was pray for a way out of this nightmare.

As the men held Rohan at gunpoint, he suddenly remembered the news report he had seen earlier about these criminals on the loose. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks - he was now trapped in a car with dangerous fugitives. The shock of the situation was palpable and he couldn't believe the gravity of the situation.

Chapter 3

As the car raced towards the city, Rohan's mind was consumed with worry for his wife's safety. He regretted sending her alone with the other two men and wished he had found a way to protect her. His heart was heavy with guilt and fear as the men continued to hold him at gunpoint.

"Please, leave my wife out of this," Rohan begged the criminals. "She has nothing to do with your situation. Let her go."

But the men were unrelenting. "As long as we are safe, your wife will be safe," they replied, their eyes cold and calculating.

Meanwhile, in the car with Riya, one of the men took control of the vehicle and drove her to a secret hideout in a remote part of the village. They tied her to a chair and told her that her safety depended on her husband's cooperation.

"What have you done with Rohan?" Riya asked fearfully, her heart pounding in her chest.

"He's safe, as long as we are safe," the men replied ominously. "You might have heard about us on the news."

Riya's blood ran cold as she realized the gravity of the situation. She prayed that her husband would find a way to rescue her and bring them both to safety.

As they reached the hospital,he turned to the men in the car and said, "Listen, I used to work at this hospital. I know my way around here. I can do everything that is necessary for the patient. But I have to first have a discussion with the hospital administration team before we proceed with any serious medical treatment."

The men were hesitant and asked him why they should trust him. Rohan looked them in the eye and said, "I am a doctor, and it is my duty to save lives. I promise you that I will do everything in my power to save this man's life, even if it means risking my own."

The men were finally convinced of Rohan's good intentions and agreed to let him take charge of the patient.

One of the men spoke up and said, "We have a condition. One of us will go with you everywhere you go until we know everything is safe."

Rohan knew that this was a risky move but he had no choice. He nodded in agreement and replied, "Alright, I understand. I will make sure that everything is done properly."

The man gave a stern look and said, "Remember, if anything goes wrong, your wife will pay the price."

Rohan felt a lump in his throat but managed to keep his composure. He replied, "I understand. I will do everything in my power to ensure your friend's safety."

With that, the man nodded and followed Rohan as he went to meet the administrator of the hospital.

Chapter 4

As they reached the office, Rohan tried to block the man accompanying him from entering the room, but the man was suspicious of Rohan's intentions.

Rohan said, "Wait here, I'll be back soon."

The man glared at him and replied, "No way. You are not going in there alone. I will come with you."

Rohan was disappointed, he knew that if he could enter the office alone, he could take some precautions to ensure the safety of his wife and himself. But now, all his plans were unsuccessful.

The doctor then said in a helpless tone, "I'm sorry, but no strangers are allowed in the office without a prior appoinment. It's against hospital policy."

The man turned to Rohan and said, "Fine, but make sure you don't try anything funny. Your wife's life depends on it."

Rohan nodded and was about to enter the office, feeling frustrated and helpless. He knew that his every move was being watched, and he couldn't risk doing anything that would put his wife in danger.

Rohan was about to enter the office when the man accompanying him called out to him. "Wait, Dr. Rohan," he said. "Before you go in, take my call and keep it on until you come back out. I want to listen to your discussions."

Rohan hesitated for a moment and then turned to face the man. "Why do you need to listen to my conversations?" he asked, his voice tinged with frustration.

The man's eyes narrowed. "I need to make sure you're not up to anything suspicious. We're not taking any chances."

Rohan sighed. "Fine. I'll take your call and leave it on speaker.

Rohan was disappointed, but he knew he had no choice. "Alright," he said with a heavy sigh. "I'll do it." He took out his phone and dialed the man's number.

The man picked up the call and said, "Good. Now go in, and remember, don't try anything funny. We're watching you."

Rohan nodded and walked into the office. He entered the office, phone in hand, and the man waited outside curiously. As he spoke with the administrator, he tried to keep his voice steady, all the while knowing that the man on the other end of the line was listening to every word. The administrator was confused by Rohan's sudden appearance and request, but ultimately agreed to his demands.

He explained to the administrator that he had brought a patient, someone whom he knew very closely and he wanted to take charge of the surgery. The administrator looked at him with confusion and asked why he was making this request.

Rohan felt a lump form in his throat as he tried to explain. "Please, try to understand. There is no much time left for the patient. He needs a critical surgery right now. It is is a matter of life and death. I need to do everything in my power to save the man's life."

The administrator readily agreed to his request.

As Rohan came out of the office, he turned to the man and said, "Are you satisfied now?"

The man smirked. "For now. But remember, we're keeping a close eye on you."

The man again approached Rohan, who was about to enter the operation theater. "Just a question," he said, stopping Rohan in his tracks. "Why didn't the administrator ask you anything in detail about the surgery? I mean, why now? It all seems a bit suspicious."

Rohan paused for a moment, considering the man's words. "I understand your concern," he replied calmly. "But we don't have time for a lengthy explanation right now. Your friend's life is at stake."

The man hesitated for a moment, clearly torn between his suspicions and the urgency of the situation."

Rohan smiled reassuringly. "You have two options," he said. "The first one is to go back to the office and ask for more clarification about why the administrator didn't ask me more details. Or, option two, we can do the surgery right now and save your friend's life."

The man thought for a moment before responding and said, "The latter."

"You've made the right choice," Rohan said, nodding in approval. He quickly made his way to the operation theater.

Rohan couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over him as he walked ahead of the man back to the surgery room where their injured accomplice lay. He knew that he was walking on a tightrope, and one wrong move could cost him everything.

Chapter 5

As he was walking towards the operation theatre, his mind raced with ideas on how he could alert the hospital staff and the police about his situation. He knew that he needed to be careful and not give the men any reason to suspect him.

As Rohan hurried to prepare for the surgery, he couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that something needed to be done to bring the criminals to justice. But he also knew that any wrong move could put himself and his wife at risk.

"What if the injured man dies?" he thought to himself.

He quickly came up with a plan. "Nurse, can you please get me a sheet of medical prescription paper?" he asked.

The nurse nodded and handed him a sheet of paper. Rohan quickly jotted down a list of medicines required to be given to the patient before the operation. He handed the prescription to the man and said, "Can you please go and buy these medicines for the patient? We need to give them to him before the operation."

The man looked at Rohan with suspicion and anger in his eyes. "Do you think I will be fooled by this trick and leave you alone here to plot our arrest?" he asked as if he understood his plan.

Rohan remained calm and collected. "I understand your concerns, but we need to give these medicines to the patient to ensure a successful operation. Please, ask anyone else to arrange for the medicines if you don't feel comfortable."

As the man hesitated again, Rohan quickly asked a nurse to arrange for the medicines instead. He put on his operation coat and gloves and got ready to perform the surgery, determined to do everything in his power to save the patient's life and bring the criminals to justice.

As the surgery was about to begin the man demanded to stay in the operation theater to observe the happenings and the doctor's moves. Rohan tried to explain to him that it was against the hospital policy to allow anyone other than the medical team in the theater during the surgery.

The man didn't budge."You can either go with the hospital policy or with a life-saving policy," he insisted.

Rohan was taken aback by the man's words but understood the urgency of the situation. "I understand your concern, but allowing someone who is not trained in medical procedures to observe the surgery could be dangerous for everyone involved," he said firmly.

The man thought for a moment before finally responding, "What if you tell others that I am the patient's brother and he wanted me to be here during the operation? Would that satisfy them?"

Rohan considered the man's proposal for a moment before nodding his head. "That could work," he said. "But please don't interfere with the surgery or do anything that could compromise the safety of the patient."

Rohan took a deep breath and prayed for strength and courage as he approached the patient, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

The man agreed to the doctor's conditions and stood quietly in the corner of the room, observing the operation carefully. He didn't do anything suspicious and focused solely on the operation, as promised.

As he began to operate on the patient, he felt a sense of purpose and determination. He knew that this was his chance to save not just the patient's life but also his own and his wife's.

Rohan worked tirelessly to save the patient's life, and with the man's help, the surgery went smoothly.

In the end, the patient was stable, and the man breathed a sigh of relief, grateful for Rohan's expertise.

Chater 6

It was the wee hours of the night, and Dr. Rohan had just completed the surgery. As he was briefing two men about the patient's post-operative care, a group of police officers barged in, pointing their guns at everyone. The sudden intrusion left everyone in shock and confusion.

The two men immediately accused Rohan of tipping off the police, but Rohan vehemently denied it, stating that he had no knowledge of their arrival.

The police officer approached Rohan, and with a stern expression, said, "Dr. Rohan, we received information that you and your wife were in danger."

Rohan's heart was pounding with fear as he realized that the situation he had been dreading had finally arrived. Although he was grateful that the police had come to his aid, he knew he had to remain calm and composed. With a steady voice, Rohan assured the police, "My wife and I are safe."

The police officer didn't seem convinced. "We've been monitoring the CCTV footage of all the hospitals in the city. While monitoring the CCTV footage of the hospital, we observed an injured man being admitted in RR Hospital. We suspect that this man could be linked to the dangerous gang of criminals we have been pursuing. The officer said with a strong conviction. But Rohan assumed that the officer was fabricating a new story to save him. He knew he had to choose his words carefully.

Rohan asked, "What do you mean? I don't understand any of this.See Mr.Officer, I can assure you that my wife and I have nothing to do with any of these. We are just doctors, trying to save lives," he said calmly.

The police officers demanded to search Rohan's phone for any suspicious messages. Rohan hesitated at first, but eventually handed it over, hoping that they wouldn't find anything incriminating. The officers scoured through his phone, but found no evidence to support their suspicions that he had some association with this gang.

The two men were becoming increasingly agitated as the police officers interrogated them. They also couldn't understand why the doctor was keeping silent about their true identity.

One of the police officers turned to Rohan and demanded to know, "Why aren't you telling us the truth, doctor? Are you and your wife being held hostage by the gang?" Despite the intense pressure, Rohan managed to maintain his composure and responded firmly, "I don't know what you're talking about. My wife and I are safe, just as I have already informed you."

As the police officers grew increasingly impatient and suspicious, they demanded to check Rohan's phone for any incriminating evidence. Although Rohan was initially hesitant, he eventually handed over his phone, hoping that there was nothing to be found. The officers meticulously combed through Rohan's phone, but could find no evidence that would support their suspicions.

The police officer looked at Rohan and said, "Dr. Rohan, we have been tracking a dangerous gang of criminals and we strongly suspect these two men and the injured man to be a part of that bloody gang." Rohan was taken aback by the sudden turn of events and asked, "What are you talking about? I don't understand any of this."

While they were conversing, the officer's phone emitted a beep, interrupting their conversation. The officer swiftly checked the message and his countenance abruptly changed. Rohan noticed the sudden shift and inquired, "Is everything alright?" The officer hesitated momentarily, then reluctantly disclosed, "We just received a picture of the gang we have been pursuing, and unfortunately, these men are members of it!"

Chapter 7

Rohan was stunned by the revelation and gazed at the two men who were now glaring at him with a blend of fury and trepidation.Despite the gravity of the situation, Rohan remained resolute and attempted to persuade the officer that the men were simply related to the patient who had undergone surgery. However, his efforts to convince the officer fell on deaf ears, as the officer remained unconvinced.

The officer explained that they had been scouring CCTV footage from hospitals across the city in their search for the fugitives. It was during this surveillance that they had spotted an injured man being brought into the hospital where Rohan worked. The officer went on to recount how they had recently encountered the gang in a nearby village, during which one of them had been shot and seriously wounded. "Out of the five, three are here and the other two..." the officer trailed off, his gaze fixed on the two men in question, their guilt seemingly confirmed.

The officer's tone was firm as he addressed Dr. Rohan. "Dr. Rohan, are you absolutely certain that your wife is safe?" he asked. "Because we have reason to believe that she is in the custody of these criminals."

Rohan's heart sank at the officer's words, but he maintained his composure. "I assure you, officer, my wife is safe," he replied calmly. "I have taken every precaution to ensure her safety."

The officer's expression remained skeptical. "Dr. Rohan, if you tell us the truth now, we may be able to take action and help you," he said. "But if you continue to hide the truth, the consequences could be severe."

Rohan felt a bead of sweat run down his forehead as he considered his options. He knew that he had to be careful with his words. "Officer, I have already told you the truth," he said, hoping to sound as convincing as possible. "My wife and I are safe."

The officer gave Rohan a stern look. "If we find out that you are lying, the consequences will be severe," he warned.

Rohan was torn between his duty as a doctor and his responsibility as a husband. He knew that he needed to protect his wife at all costs.

He knew that if he told the police what had happened, his wife's life would be in danger. So, he decided to play along.

"I'm sorry, officer, but I don't know what you're talking about," Rohan said, trying to sound convincing. But deep down, he knew that he couldn't keep up the act forever. He needed to find a way to get his wife out of danger before it was too late.

Rohan held his ground firmly and spoke to the officer, "Officer, I understand your concerns. But for me, the man in the ICU is my patient, and I will not allow you to disturb his health in any way." The officer's expression turned stern as he warned Rohan, "Dr. Rohan, if we find out that you have played a role in this drama, be ready to face the legal consequences."

As the tense conversation continued, one of the two men stepped forward towards Rohan and said, "Doctor, please listen to us. We know that we are not in a good situation. You are a good man, and we trust you.We have just one request for you. Our friend is under your care, and he needs medical attention. Please save him."Rohan couldn't believe his luck when the criminal spoke up.He was relieved that the police will not suspect him anymore.

"Alright," the officer said to the doctor, "but you have to promise me that you will not help these criminals escape. We will be watching you."

Rohan nodded, "I promise officer. I'm just doing my duty as a doctor."

The officer's tone was firm as he addressed the criminals, "Gentlemen, it's time for you to come with us now." He gestured towards the exit, indicating that they were to be taken into custody.

As the police were about to take the two men away, one of them turned back to Rohan and said, "Kindly don't let the police take him into their custody until he is completely safe."

Rohan nodded understandingly and replied, "I will make sure that he receives the best medical care possible."

But he also made a stern demand, "In return, you must set my wife free as soon as possible."

The man reassured him, "Your wife will be released tomorrow itself. Not out of fear, but because of your kindness towards us so far."

Rohan breathed a sigh of relief and watched as the police took the men away, hoping that his wife would soon be back in his arms.

The man turned to the officer and asked, "Officer, may I have a word with my friend?"

The officer hesitated for a moment before permitting the man to speak to his friend, but only for a minute and under the condition that the doctor allowed it.

Rohan agreed, but reminded the man to not make the injured man strain too much, as he was still in a critical state. He entered the ICU and came out with a smile, assuring the man that his friend was conscious.

Chapter 8

The man entered the ICU alone and made sure that no one else was present. He whispered to his friend, "This doctor is innocent. After the police leave the hospital, call our men and ask them to release his wife safely. But be careful and get us out of prison as soon as possible. If you can get out of hear, come to our hideout place in Nohsa Bari road. The police will be waiting for your recovery, and if you are planning something, execute it before you're completely okay. Be safe, my friend. Bye!"

The injured man nodded in agreement, and a flicker of hope appeared in his eyes. The man left the ICU and thanked the doctor, saying, "Thank you for everything."

The police also thanked Rohan for his cooperation and assured him that an officer would be posted to watch over the injured man until he was fully recovered.

As the officer and his team left, Rohan breathed a sigh of relief and muttered, "Thank god, everything went as planned."

One of the hospital staff members who was passing by, overheard Rohan and asked, "What happened, doctor? Is everything alright?"

Rohan replied with a smile, "Yes, everything is fine now. The police have taken care of the matter. You don't have to worry about anything."

The staff member was curious and asked, "What matter, doctor? Is everything okay with the hospital and the patients?"

Rohan replied vaguely, "Just a minor issue. It's all taken care of now. Thank you for your concern."

As the staff member walked away, Rohan couldn't help but feel grateful for the successful outcome of his plan. He had taken a huge risk, but everything had worked out in the end. He silently thanked god and went back to the ICU.

As the police were leaving the hospital, the officer turned back and gave a subtle wink to the doctor, which the doctor understood as a sign of gratitude for his help in the operation. The doctor felt a sense of relief that everything had gone according to plan and that the police were able to capture the criminals without anyone suspecting his involvement.

The officer also knew that the doctor had played a vital role in informing the police about the criminals, but he also understood that the doctor had to maintain his cover in front of the criminals to protect himself and his wife.

Chapter 9

The next morning, Rohan's phone rang at 4am and he answered it to find an anxious Riya on the line. "Rohan, I don't know what's going on. Are you safe? These men have decided to release me today. Why did they kidnap me?" she asked worriedly.

"Hey Riya, don't worry about me. I'm safe and everything is under control. I'll explain everything to you when you get back home. Just focus on staying safe and we'll sort it out together," Rohan reassured her.

Immediately after the call was disconnected, Rohan jumped out of his bed in excitement. However, he found it impossible to go back to sleep. He was too anxious and couldn't wait for Riya's return. He kept looking at the clock, waiting for the moment she would arrive. Finally, he heard a car sound at his gate, and he knew it was Riya. He ran outside and as she opened the car door, she hugged him tightly, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Oh my god, Rohan! I can't believe I'm finally safe. I thought I'd never see you again." Riya cried out, her voice trembling.

Rohan held her close and comforted her. "Shh, it's okay now. You're safe with me. Everything is going to be alright," he whispered, trying to calm her down.

They stayed in each other's embrace for a while, relieved to be together again. Finally, Rohan led Riya inside the house and made her sit on the couch. He poured her a glass of water and sat down beside her.

"Now, tell me everything that happened," Riya said, concern etched on her face.

Rohan asked Riya to freshen up and have some food before he narrated the whole incident to her. As he spoke, she listened intently, her curiosity only growing.

"But how did the police come to know about it?" she asked, still puzzled.

Rohan chuckled softly. "I had a plan," he said. He then revealed the cunning trap he had devised to catch the criminals.

Rohan leaned in closer to Riya and whispered, "Guess where I took those criminals?" Riya's eyes widened as she shook her head, indicating she had no idea. "Our own RR hospital in the city," Rohan revealed with a wry smile. "That made it easier for me to plan and execute my strategy."

He went on to explain the cunning trap he had prepared for the kidnappers. One of the key elements of the plan was the prescription he had given before the surgery, which contained a message for the hospital staff. He had first instructed the man to go and collect the medicine, which had made him suspicious. This had allowed Rohan to hand over the prescription to a nurse, who had then passed on the message to the pharmacist. The pharmacist had then called the police, and the rest was history.

Riya was impressed by Rohan's quick thinking. "You're a genius," she said, giving him a hug.Riya was listening to Rohan's plan with utter amazement.

Rohan grinned. "Well, I had to do something to get you back safely."

"The police officer too was supportive and sensible. He's indeed a good actor. I convinced the criminals that I was trying to protect them from the police, so I had to make it look believable, and the officer just supported me well," Rohan explained.

"Another problem was finding out where they had hidden you. I knew I had to come up with a plan to get that information. And as I was brainstorming, the perfect opportunity presented itself," Rohan said with a satisfied smile.

Riya was more curious to know about it."

Rohan said with a grin, "They must be safe in prison now."

"How did you do it?" Riya asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Before I allowed the criminal to have his final word, I had gone into the ICU to hide my phone under his pillow with the voice recorder switched on," Rohan explained. "He had revealed the location of the place they were hiding you, and I didn't waste any time in informing the police. So they were waiting for them to drop you at the main road. After you were set free, they had to take an auto to go back, and the police were following them to their hideout. Now they must have taken all of their people into custody."

Riya looked impressed. "You're really amazing, Rohan," she said, giving him a grateful hug. "I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me."

Rohan hugged her back and said, "Well, I think I'll stick to being a doctor for now. But who knows, maybe someday I'll become a secret agent for the CBI." They both laughed and finally, with a sense of relief, they were able to put this ordeal behind them and move on with their lives.
