Of Old Times

I was very much indebted to old Rabhjeet baba about this account. Mocking him one day, a fellow visitor said, "Babaji, in your times things were quite different, eh, I've heard men married many times. Was the law different then?"

"Who knows, but I remember once a woman from some health office came to ask about our views on family planning," Babaji replied.

Curious the visitor inquired further about what happened then.

Babaji said, "Well, she came here and sat and lectured me for about an hour about some family and population issues."

"Then?"

"Then I lectured her for another hour."

"Then?"

A feeble wise smile appeared on his face. He said, "Then what! She was my third wife and Krishnan and Hardeep's mother. "

The visitor chuckled and Babaji walked away to his evening strolls.
