New Story

If I remember correctly, Mr.Chatur shared the news, “She is no more Mrs. Sharma”. What happened to her husband? I asked with a lot of curiosity. Nothing has happened to Mr. Sharma. He is fit and fine. Yesterday, students were teasing Raman by saying, “Your new fathers have joined, Lovedale!   He was angry but could not do anything to that senior boy as he was 3 years senior to him. As per the tradition of the school Seniors students act like a bully and there is the terror of them among junior. Not only Lovedale but all the old public school bullying is tradition. My wife was an admirer of Mrs. Sharma as a Lady of strong characters. She stays on the campus with her only son Raman! She maintains distance from the old students of this school. Old students association have a strong lobby and usually, they interfere in the day to day affair of the school. You can feel their strong presence during founders. You can find different varieties of wine bottles in the hostel. They focus on some of the junior girls or young unmarried or married lady teachers or lady teachers who stay alone on the campus.   

Mrs. Sharma will accompany the girl's team for this year camp, announced Dy. HM. She happily accepted this order with a rider of request. One of the Military Instructors should join us during this camp. There were a lot of lady teachers. But she preferred a male staff who has recently joined from N.D.A. newly joined young PTI Md. Yusuf Khan. We all returned from different camps. Everything was normal, but soon, we realized Mrs. Sharma had developed intimacy with the new MI and students have come to know about her affair. 2 senior girls refused to eat as their lady housemistress Mrs. Sharma did not allow them to meet their boyfriends in the evening hours. They had a complaint and they said we never objected madam during our camp when she slept with MI and visited frequently to each other’s room. This matter was resolved by offering some leniency to girls' students. Next month, her husband arrived at the campus. She was the only lady member of my department. I was completing my lesson plan diary but my ears were on the conversation of Mr.Chatur and she says, My husband has asked me that I should openly spend some time with MI, let the people talk. He doesn’t bother. We went together to drop Mr. Sharma to the airport. I was looking for a driver, These drivers are very important people. They have all the information. I booked the car for Ooty though there were many other means of transport available. He told me, After dropping Mr, Sharma while returning from the Airport, Madam and MI visited a doctor and on the way, they stayed for lunch for 4 hours in a hotel.

After a decade, Mr. Chatur called me and gave me the news that Mrs. Sharma is remarried at the age of 56 and she had visited them with the new husband's old MI of the school. I shared another news from my new place that In my new school in Bulandsahar, there is another teacher very similar to her has removed her mother in law and husband and decided to stay with one of her young students who is preparing for competitive examination.

One of the senior faculty members, when talked about such news recently, I could not control my laugh, I remember Mrs. Sharma (then), Mrs. Doors and nowhere also. The story repeats itself. He came here with his wife for an interview, joined here with another lady. Another Married teacher joined us as Dance faculty and later on, she brought one of his students whom he shall marry after few years. They are offered separate accommodation but they stay together after school hours. And the new one, she is married but can’t say whether a new story is beginning.
