Love Never Die........

Subrat Ghosh, the leading industrialist was sitting in his office. He was awarded as the young entrepreneur of the year. At the age of 35, he received it for his dedication and hard labor that he had put together in building this industry. His company is manufacturing the best fashionable garments and been a leading brand in the market. The brand “MALANI” is very popular among all youngsters. Subrat had put his 10 years' time into it to bring it to this stage. It’s his dedication that made his dream come true. Now in Mumbai city, he is having his own office and factory. He had started very small with two persons and now having more than 500 employees. Still, he is missing something in his life….He is feeling the gap….. 

 

Subrat is from a middle-class family and his father was a central government employee, mother was a housewife. He was born and brought up in Kolkata. After completing his 12th examination he got admitted to Fashion Technology at Mumbai. He was having a creative mind from his childhood and was always thinking to make something new. His parents always encouraged him. During his study in Mumbai, he had received awards for his creative works too. He was very handsome and always have a smiling face. When he was in his 3rd year he met a beautiful girl, who was too very ambitious like him. She was at that time in 1st year and was from Delhi. She was very smart, beautiful and friendly. During the welcome ceremony for newcomers, Subrat was given the responsibility of arranging the function. The arrangements were so creative in nature that they had pleased everybody. When the Dean called Subrat to stage and introduced him and praised him, then he saw among all one girl was standing clapping for him. At the end of the function when all were leaving the hall, he could see that girl was standing near the gate with a bunch of roses in her hand and seeing Subrat she gave those flowers to him with a smile and a note of thanks. Subrat took it from her and smiled back. That was his first meeting with her. Then they had the opportunity to meet in the canteen and library. Sometimes she used to discuss with Subrat her ideas and take his suggestions. Slowly they became good friends and started sharing their dreams with each other. She wanted to be a successful model and Subrat wanted to be a fashion designer. Both of them were very ambitious. Slowly they don’t know a feeling of care and affection between them developed and it was then given the name of love after two years. By this time both of them were very close to each other. Then Subrat finished the course and started doing a job of merchandising for some leading brands. He was keeping on developing new designs and also doing his consulting job. Subrat was getting his popularity and still not forgotten his dream. He had not forgotten his love…the beautiful girl in his life, whose name MALA NIRAJ SINGH.

Mala was from a reputed businessman’s family. Her parents had given her the liberty of choosing her own carrier. She was a brilliant student too. During her schooling, she had won the beauty show held among students of Delhi. That was the turning point of her life to dream of becoming a successful model. When Subrat was busy in his work Mala was in her final year of Fashion Technology. Both of them were meeting and dating each other. They used to have quality time with each other during each weekend. 

 

Mala finished her final examination and Subrat got an assignment of hosting a big Fashion show in Mumbai. Now Subrat was very excited and discuss this with Mala. As Subrat was looking for some models for the Fashion show, he thought why not give an opportunity to his Mala in this show. They are going to make it big and launching Mala in this show will definitely help her to start her carrier as a model, which is her dream. He asked Mala for this and Mala was excited, but was nervous as she was not having any experience. Subrat told him that he will give her the tips and nothing to be worried about. But it was not that easy to convince the organizers for Mala as she was fresh. Subrat convinced all and taken her responsibility. They agreed and both Subrat and Mala were happy and excited. They were excited about this new challenging assignment……..They were excited about their dreams………They were excited about making this a success………………………..

 

All the preparations were going on. Subrat arranged a professional trainer for Mala and also was taking personal care of her. Now both of them were staying together. They were very happy and focusing on their carrier. The day has come. The Fashion show was a grand success. Subrat was been appreciated by all. Even the foreign delegates were very much impressed with the creative work of Subrat. Subrat earned name, fame, and money. He got an offer from two foreign companies to host the Fashion show there. Mala too was been appreciated and was selected by three companies to be the model for their brands. Now both of them are happy and more motivated to focus on their respective dreams. After the show, both of them were tired and planned for a short holiday. They took off of three days and gone for a trip to Goa. Away from work…….away from people……..away from profession……..It was completely for refreshment and relaxation. While returning from Goa Subrat told Mala about his plan of going to London and Sidney for his new assignment. He will be there for four months. Mala was happy but upset about missing him for four months. Subrat wanted to take Mala with him, but she was having a different plan. She told that she will be completing a six months modeling course in Bangalore. Subrat didn’t stop her. He was feeling a bit of pain from staying away from Mala, but that was nothing before her dream. He wanted her to be successful too.

 

After one month Mala got her result of Fashion technology getting a rank of the seventh position and informed Subrat. Subrat and Mala celebrated that night for Mala’s result as well as a farewell party to each other as both of them now will proceed in their professional carrier. The party started with happiness…..with a hug and ended with a long kiss with tears from both of their eyes. That was saying something, which both of them could understand and feel. They promised each other to be in constant touch with each other. It was a promise for their love, care, and affections…………………………….

 

Subrat had his successful trip to London and Sidney. He had earned well. He returned to Mumbai and with the help of his two friends from college he started his own business. With his designs and creativity, he started getting the products through job works. He used to organize different small Fashion shows to make his brand popular and attract more clients. At the same time, he was continuing his consulting job too. He used to travel to different cities in India and abroad for his Fashion show and business. During this time he had met Mala too and taken her as a model in shows organized at Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. He never wanted to disturb more Mala from her training course. Subrat now became busier and busier in his professional work. He was busy establishing his brand ‘’MALANI’’. While Subrat was giving him all efforts to make his dream fulfilled, one tragedy had happened in his life. When he was on a business trip to London got the message that his parents were in the hospital after meeting a road accident. He rushed to Kolkata to be with his parents. He tried to contact Mala to give this information, but couldn’t get her. He left a message for Mala. He reached Kolkata, rushed to the hospital, and found his both parents are in ICU due to a serious brain injury. He spoke to his friends and colleagues to take care of the business as he will be in Kolkata to take care of his parents. He was very much upset to see this condition of his parents, who had given him everything in life. He pleaded before doctors to give the best treatment and make them well. He could remember his childhood days when his mother used to feed him even he was grown up till he was in 10th class. His father used always motivate him to dream and give his best efforts to achieve it. They never stopped him from doing anything. They had given their unconditional love and affection to him. With their moral support, he has reached the place, where he is now. By this time 15 days passed and one morning the doctors called him and told him,’’ we are very sorry ….we couldn’t save them……’’. Subrat couldn’t believe it and bear it. Now he had lost the most precious and lovable persons of his life. He was crying holding his mother’s body and looking at his father’s body. Now he took both of them and finished the rituals. He was down with pains. After completing all rituals he again made up his mind to concentrate on work, it was not easy. He thought of Mala as neither saw her nor received any message from her even he had given him the message. He was completely confused. Then he took some time and tried to console his mind and heart. He became a bit normal, felt much better, and decided to start work. He decided before going to Mumbai to meet Mala in Bangalore. He made his visit to Bangalore and could come to understand that Mala had left for Delhi one month back and reasons not known to him. He was in a double mind, whether to go to Delhi or not. Finally decided to go to Delhi and meet Mala. He left for Delhi and left a message at Bangalore for Mala. Reaching Delhi he tried to contact Mala, but she was not reachable. He thought of going to her house and gone there. Subrat was surprised to see Mala’s house was no longer her own, now it is been sold to another businessman through the auction of the bank. He was unable to get any clue regarding anything about Mala and the happenings with her family. Lastly, he with a broken heart and heavy mind returned to Mumbai………………………..

 

Reaching Mumbai it took Subrat a couple of months to reorganize the business. Now he started focusing more and more on fashion shows with a strong hope and belief of making his brand established and finding out his love Mala. He was keeping himself very busy. His business was growing and he had purchased a small factory to have his own manufacturing. He had employed more people. After one year he had expanded his factory and updated it with modern technologies as the demand for his brand was increasing. His export business was beyond his imaginations. He is having his own beautiful office and his team of models for fashion shows.

 

Subrat was just relaxed and going through the schedule of the month and mails on a business tour. Suddenly one mail made him surprised. It was signed as MS M N Singh. The mail was an invitation to have a fashion show in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Subrat had not yet done any show in Rajasthan, his anxiety has increased by seeing the signed name. He was thinking if it could be Mala, then it will be the best opportunity to meet her….to see her…… know many more things……..He decided to go there and asked the team to make the preparations. 

 

As per the schedule, Subrat and his team reached Jaipur and the venue. Subrat couldn’t wait more and thought of meeting MS M N Singh, who had fixed this show. He was given the time of evening six pm of the day before the show. Subrat was waiting in the banquet room. Then he saw the door was opened and Mala entered. He stood up and forgot to wish ….he lost his speech…..his eyes were widely opened………………he was for the first time lost the smile from his face. The room was full of silence for some time. Then Mala broke the silence and asked him,’’ how are you?....take your seat. We have time…..’’. Subrat sat on the sofa and replied,’’ I am in front of you….can't say happy ……but ………anyway you tell me how are you? Where are you now? What are you doing now? lastly, why didn’t you replied my message? I lost my parents, I am alone….I am leading a lonely busy life….’’. Tears rolling down from the eyes of Subrat. Mala came near to him gave him a glass of water and sat near to him saying,’’ relax, I will tell you. I know what happened to you. I know it from the hospital. After receiving your message I rushed to Kolkata from Bangalore, so that I can be to some help before you reach. I told Bangalore that I am going home. After I reached the hospital I got the message that there was a riot in Delhi and we lost our entire business establishment blown by fire. As you know already I had lost my mother earlier and my father was everything for me. I tried to connect with you, but it was not possible and I left for Delhi. As your parents were in ICU, I took the hospital number and left. When I reached Delhi everything was over. My father had a brain stroke and he was admitted to the hospital. His left side is paralyzed. Due to high debts, the banks made auctions for our properties. By that time I heard the sad demise of your parents. I thought of not giving more stress to my problems. Then I took my father and came to Jaipur, our home town. Here I joined a big consulting house and taking care of event management. Also, my father’s treatment is going on. As one of our clients wants to promote their Rajasthani garments and wants to have new designs developed for their brand, I thought of contacting you, couldn’t get you and send the mail. I was always thinking of you, but don’t want to derail you from your track to achieve your goal. I am sorry, but I want to see you at the top of the industry.’’ Mala started crying and at that moment Subrat could realize the sacrifice of Mala for his success. He was feeling sorry for having little negative thoughts about Mala. He came close to Mala. He wiped the tears from her chin and told her,’’ ok …now everything will be ok Mala. I had the factory and office in Mumbai. A big team of models is with me. I am too tired to handle everything alone. Now you take care of some responsibility of mine. I don’t want to miss you…. I can’t afford that….We will give the best treatment to your father in Mumbai. He will be well very soon. I will take you and your father with me to Mumbai after this show is over’’.

 

Now Mala looked at Subrat and asked him looking at his brand ‘’MALANI’’,’’ how is it doing? Hope export business is doing well.’’ Subrat smiled and replied everything is going great for this brand ‘’MALANI’’.Do you know how close this is to me? This is in my heart always. This is in the name of my love, my inspiration………’’

 

Mala was feeling the anxiety with pleasure and she could now guess it is in her name Mala plus Ni from her father’s name ’’MALANI’’. She hugged Subrat and couldn’t control her tears of happiness that Subrat loves him more than she loves him. Subrat was happy to get her love ….now he made his brand established…..now Mala will be with her ……He will not let either Mala or her father or he himself suffer anymore. Then both of them relaxed and Subrat asked Mala,’’ can I go with you and stay with you and my father-in-law?’’ Mala nodded and with a naughty smile told yes all are your’s’’. Now both of them started for Mala’s house. Both of them are thinking silently with a pleasing smile on their face ‘’ Love Never Die’’……………………………Both of them were looking into each other’s eye and giving the smile of satisfaction thinking that ……..their love for parents…….their love for dreams……….their love for belongingness……..their love for creativity………..their love for feelings…………their love for emotions…………and their love for each other…….. all these’’ Love Never Die’’……………………..
