Ram was a loving young man. He was romantic and idealistic by nature. He was living with his parents in a village named Charigharia. He was the only one son of his parents and belongs to a well-to-do family . He had recently got a job at a reputed company after completion of MBA. He cherished a hobby of motorcycling at his leisure.

One wintry morning he made up his mind to pay a courtesy visit to his maternal house which was situated at Jashipur, a mountainous area. Suddenly his bike was punctured. So he braked and looked here and there in pursuit of a garage in the vicinity. He also walked upto 3 furlongs and found a tribal man is sitting under a tent. He had some tools and a large bucket of water too. Ram walked to him and asked, " What are you doing here? It is a jungle area. Have you no fear? " " No babu. It is a beautiful jungle having neither tiger nor elephants. How can I fear this solitude? I know that this is the only road which passes by our village that links to town. I was at the town ten years age. I was working in a automobile garage. So I have thorough knowledge in mechanism and patching tubes and tires. I earn something out of it. It's my extra income. " The tribal man told in half mixed Hindi language.

Ram babu told about his situation. The man told, " Yes I can patch your tire and tube perfectly. Please roll your bike onto me" " OK I am doing ". Ram rolled his bike onto the tribal man and got it's tube of the back wheel patched by that man. Thereafter pumping into the tube, the man handed over the bike to Ram. Then the patching charge was paid to him by Ram. It was terribly cold day. Mountains and jungles were scattering their greeneries so beautifully complying with the mid day sun of winter that any one might be enchanted. Whereas Mr. Ram was a lover of nature he was attracted by the mountainous beauties and desired for a halt for a few hours among the tribal folks in their villages. Ram told the tribal man ," OK can you tell your name? " " My name is Banthu. " Reply came. Again Ram asked, " Can I stay in your village for some days" As tribal folks are hospitable by nature, Banthu told, " Yes why not. You are the urban babu. You are ever welcome. " Ramu retorted, " Thank you dear Banthu. Is your work is over now? " Banthu said, " Yes babu " Ram started his bike and told, " Ok now you sit on my back seat. I will give you a lift upto your house " Banthu was glad to hear this. He rode on the bike anxiously.

Ram drove on to his village and dropped him in front of his house. His daughter Gurei came out with her mother Minua. Both Minua and Gurei were happy to see a guest. Then Banthu requested Ram to get into their house. Interior tribals seldom take tea. So Banthu offered a earthen potful of Handia lasi to Ram. But Ramu was not habituated in this type of alcoholic beverage rather he wanted to taste it for the firtst time in his life. So he received with thanks the pot from Banthu and consumed. As he was an initial intaker, he felt drowsy and requested Banthu to sleep. The earthen floor of the house was neat and clean by appliance of cowdung paste and beautifully decorated with designed jhoti chitta made of rice powder. Banthu spread a mat on the floor. He also gave a jutemade blanket to Ram to cover his body to get rid of extreme cold. The tribal alcoholic drink gave him pleasure with stupefaction. The Ram had a pleasurable nap on the mat and started snoring.

It was afternoon. Ram got up from his nap. He was bachelor and energetic. So he requested Banthu to show him other sceneries of the forest. He also gave him some rupees out of courtesy. Gurei, wife of Banthu served boiled finger millet on a banana leaf as the launch. Ram was satisfied with the tribal launch which was a new food for him. Ram was so enchanted that he changed his mind and asked Banthu, " May I stay in your house for some days? " " Yes you may stay as long as you can. " " OK thanks . " retorted Ram.

Ram was interested to know more about Banthu's family. So he asked him, " How many issues have you? I have only two issues. I have a twenty five years old son named Bangru and a 20 years old daughter named Gurei. " Again Ram questioned, " What are they doing? " Banthu explained, " Bangru is a graduate and a diploma holder in Electronic Mechanism. He is now an employee of Digital India Corporation and posted at New Delhi. Gurei has completed graduation with teachership training. Now she is applying for a job and she is also assisting her mother in domestic and SHG group works as her mother is the president of village SHG group of our village. She also knows driving a bike and Yoga." Ram was satisfied with Banthu's answers. So he told him, " Thank you dear uncle. Another thing that I want to see your jungle sceneries and other villages of your locality. If you come with me on my bike and guide me, I would be happier."

Banthu retorted, " I agree with you my dear son. But today I have to go to my corn field to reap the harvest. I am unable to accompany with you. Rather I may send Gurei with you if you like." Ram was in puzzle; but was happy within as it would enliven his bachelor, young and romantic spirit. Hence he clarified, " Yes Uncle you are telling right. You send her with me. " Then he called Gurei who was taking morning breakfast with her mother and instructed, " My dear Gurei. You go with Ram to show him our area and let him enjoy the marvellous wild sceneries too. I have taken Handia with burnt dry fish recipe. Now I am leaving for field work.

After getting permission of father Gurei accompanied Ram and went towards the forest. Both were young and full of enthusiasm. In every human life erotic urge is a natural instinct. As long as there is no physical touch between a man and woman so long they will be treated as bachelor and spinster. When physical union occures between them , they they enter into the domesticated conjugall life. So the human nature's network was not an exception for Gurei and Ram. However they reached on the bank of a stream. After standing the bike, Ram and Gurei got down and sat beside the stream. They hold romantic discussion and enjoyed beauties of nature. Wild deer and peacocks were engaging themselves in drinking water from the stream. The beauties of nature were enchanting Ram as he was a lover of nature having a romantic mood.

Gurei was feeling happy. Ram was an idealistice youth who never wanted physical relation before marriage. But on the other hand Gurei was a virgin girl and inner heart was prone to surrender before Ram. But Ram was always maintaining an untouchable distance with Gurei nevertheless Gurei's body language was revealing her proneness for breaking her virginity. Eventually when Ram did not comply with her she suddenly embraced Ram and told, " Dear Ram Babu I love you. Don't you love me?. " Ram was puzzled and embarrased. So he told," No Gurei. I am urban and you are a tribal. At first you ask your father whether he is agreed with your choice and allow you to marry me. If he will agree I will tell my father for negotiation. " By hearing such assurance from Ram, Gurei was satisfied and confident. She slackened her tight embrace and made Ram free of her grabbing.

Thereafter they came back home after spending sometimes in the forest. Gurei expressed her desire before her parents. Banthu went to Ram's house with Ram. Ram's week long staying out of the house made his parents happy when they got him with them after a fortnight engrossed with parental emotion. Ram openly narrated everything and expressed his desire to marry Gurei. Ram's father agreed with the proposal and assured Ram, " You are my only son. Your happiness is also my happiness. Next month within the winter season your marriage ceremony will be held in the temple of Jungle Goddess of Gurei's village. Don't worry. " Then the date was fixed and marriage ceremony was over. On the fourth night of marriage Gurei told Ram, "O my dear Ram, my beloved life partner, my whimsical embrace in the jungle turned into an eternal wintry embrace tonight. Let us enjoy on bed upto morning."
