Introvert Girl

It was Sunday. Both college friends sat in a coffee shop.

After long silence,

“Oh God Naina! I don’t understand why are you so introvert sometimes?“ Dhaval asked staring at her calmed face.

“Me neither...” She gave pale smile and sipped the coffee.

“I'm your best friend from the first year of the college, yet you're still like an unsolved puzzle to me. Sometimes you should talk to your best friend to empty your heart you know. Friends never judge.” He sensed from her eyes that something was disturbed inside her.

She looked at him and gave plastic smile.

“Okay. Fine! I think I am not your BEST friend whom with you—”

“Hey! That’s not true!” she frowned.

“Ok then. Tell me. Is there anyone in the world who knows you best with all your secrets?"

“Yup…” mysterious smile slipped on her smooth lips.

“WHO…??” His both eyebrows arched up in shock.

She created the suspense by not revealing the name. “Sometimes some feelings are not meant to be shared, but rather express through another way…”

“Oh come on Naina. Don’t be poetic. Answer it straight. My heart is racing here… Is there anyone special in your life?”

She smiled and cupped the coffee mug. She didn’t answer quick, rather let him waited. He was dying to know. Drops of sweat appeared on his forehead. She sipped and nodded slowly with mysteriously smile.

“God! Tell….!! I am about to get an heart attack!!”

“Relax! It’s my ‘personal diary’ who knows my all secrets in form of poem."

“Oh Thank God!” he inhaled relieved breath and wiped the sweat. “I had completely forgotten that you are a poetess! I hate you now, you scared the shit out of me.”

She just busted in giggles and her eyes gleamed with joy. In that moment her heart doubtful questioned arisen, ‘Does he really have feelings for me even though I am physically disabled?’
