I Love You
I Love You
Smriti walked slowly towards the Sundrop ice cream parlor looking as beautiful as an umbrella in a yellow churidar. She was called as a matching queen by her friends and why not because she always used to match her accessories from top to bottom, which was evident even today with her yellow hairband, yellow handbag, yellow sandals, yellow mobile pouch, and yellow paper napkin too. Smriti's best friend, Neeta had asked her to wait in the ice cream parlor as the Sundar beauty parlor was nearby. Smriti sat down on a chair taking out her yellow framed sunglasses that she had bought from her village, Sundapur.
Not knowing what to do, she took out her cellphone and kept herself busy.
Smriti could hear someone walking towards her table. "I love you" came the voice from behind her chair. Smriti was awestruck, she didn't know whether to be happy that someone had told her "I Love You" or sad that Neeta could not see all this. She saw him holding a beautiful bouquet of sunflower, her favorite flower. She turned back to catch a glimpse of that person, but could not see his face as it was covered with sunflower.
She could sense the aroma of Sunrise deodorant and felt happy that one thing was common between them because she also used Sunrise deodorant. She felt, even happier about seeing the yellow color car key that was hanging out from his pocket.
Thud, the bouquet fell down. The boy was wearing a yellow color shirt and yellow shoes to match with. Of course, he was wearing pants, jeans. He was badly hit by a girl whom Smriti thought was not as beautiful as her. The boy who fell down kept on looking at both Smriti and the girl who hit him. The girl held him by the collar and told him: " This is why you asked me to come at sharp 11.30, thank God, I came 10 minutes early, he only saved me. To hell with you and your love. I hate you". At the same time, she told him that she hates yellow color and told him to get married to his new girlfriend, Guldasta ( meaning bouquet).
There was a mixed reaction in Smriti's heart. Now, she felt happy that Neeta was not around but sad that the sunflower bouquet was not for her. She also noticed that the girl was also dressed up in full yellow except her watch strap, which was pink. She felt this was the right time to pitch in as she couldn't take the word "guldasta."
Before she could talk, her best friend Neeta came directly from the Sundar beauty parlor looking as bright as a sunflower. "Hi, Sundari, what's all this about," Sundari, the girl who had hit the boy, explained everything in detail to Neeta. Sundari was his girlfriend.
Neeta interrupted what Smriti had to say and laughed so loudly that the Sun from the Sundrop ice cream parlor dropped down. Neeta started explaining everything to them. She was laughing throughout because the boy who fell down was Mr. Sunny Lion, whose girlfriend was Sundari. So, Mr. Sunny had asked Sundari to meet him in the Sundrop ice cream parlor, their favorite meeting spot. He had told her to come in yellow churidar and wait for him on their favorite yellow color table in the parlor.
Well, now you know what happened next. Unaware of all this, poor Smriti came in full yellow and sat down on the yellow table and the rest is history. Smriti was happy to see Mr. Sunny and Ms. Sundari's reunion but whispered in Neeta's ears if she could order yellow color mango juice, to which Neeta laughingly agreed.
