House-Tell

Well, it's been a long day for our Pawan Kumar who had come from his Native to Bangalore City for his admissions to college. As you all might know how difficult it is for a guy who is not well versed in English to survive in Bangalore, by God's Grace, our Pawan Kumar got admission into college. Pawan Kumar got a huge relief after that. He was bright enough to ask for the Hostel Details from the college personnel who just guided him to go around the college and find out more by himself. Our Pawan Kumar went on a hunt for a hostel to stay in, but in no vain. With scorching heat from the sun and a hungry stomach, he entered a hotel and ate stomach full as he had skipped breakfast in the morning because of his admissions. It was already 4 pm, and to his dismay, nobody seemed to help him out. He remembered the college personnel who was helpful and kind to him in the morning and went back to college to seek his help.

After entering the college, he saw the college personnel starting his vehicle. Pawan Kumar ran towards him and told him that he was not successful in getting a hostel and that it would be of great help if he could arrange for some alternative to stay overnight. The college personnel was shocked as he knew that the college was surrounded by very many PGs. He thought of helping him out and took him on his bike to check on with one of the PGs near the college. As soon as he got down from the bike, the security from the PG building started scolding Pawan Kumar. The college personnel saw the sad-faced Pawan Kumar and scolded the security that since he was a new student, he had no right to scold him. On hearing this, the security started to LOL non-stop. The college personnel was dumbstruck as to what made the security laugh so much. At last, security controlled his laugh and told the college personnel about the reason for his laugh.

That was......since our Pawan Kumar had come from his Native, he naturally had his dialect whenever he enquired about the HOSTEL details with whomever he came across, the only word he could blabber out was HOUSE TELL, instead of HOSTEL... which put everyone in confusion as they could not comprehend what our Pawan Kumar wanted to convey and could not help him much. On hearing this, our college personnel thought of first enrolling him on a Basic English Speaking course alongside his college course. Now, Pawan Kumar is so well versed in ENGLISH that he still LOL whenever he thinks about this joke of HOUSE-TELL and is able to guide all those who come from native further towards the HOUSE-TELL,...oops, sorry!! HOSTEL...
