Habit Or Obsession

There is the time when the difference between a habit and an obsession means no difference. This was the story of Megha, a final year engineering student.

It was summertime. Megha decided to wear salwar kameez to college today, although she would be preferring to rock in her jeans only every day. She took out a yellow salwar kameez from her cupboard with Patiala shoes and no rubber bands and started off to college with her schedule. She was so excited. She jumped off from the stairs and jumped off to a couple of friends and greeted them with a smile. They greeted her back with smiles. One of the girls passed a comment "She is meeting him today I guess"

Megha overheard and replied "Yes, with a date"

Megha was dating a guy from the college who was a local guy. It was around 5 months they were seeing each other and Megha was quite excited about the new phase in her life.

"Hey Arjun"- Megha greeted Arjun with a smile in the office garden where they decided to meet.

"Hey, Megha- you look really pretty with that yellow color"- Arjun replied back.

Megha felt the best feeling that could happen to any girl, any lady. It was actually the best feeling.

The next few weeks were the most beautiful days spent in Megha's s life. She visited the parks, movie theaters, and bike rides. The nights spent chatting and long phone calls.

Start of a new relationship- Oh it's euphoric !!!!

There was this day when Megha got up morning and picked up the phone to wish Arjun a good morning text. She texts him a sweet morning text, but it was not delivered.

Megha had a small doubt about the delivery of the text but she just thought to keep it off and went for a bath and to get ready for college. That day Arjun didn't turn up for college as well. Megha was not understanding what was happening in the entire day.

Three days went. There was no news. Megha was not in touch with any friends of Arjun as well. What just happened, she didn't understand.

She kept crying on the nights. The pillows dissolved in tears all night long. She didn't have any news. None of the friends in college understood what happened with Arjun. Her number was blocked. She could not reach out to Arjun anymore. What just happened, she kept wondering!

Then there was just one day when she received a text from an unknown number and he has moved to Australia and won't be in any touch with her anymore. This was again after two months. Megha was still missing some of her college classes and performing fairly in her semester exams. She started drinking alcohol with some of the other people also by then. She never consumed alcohol at this time. Was she addicted? If so, with what? Arjun or the drinks?
