Deciding The Decision

It is pretty easy when you have to choose between a Samosa and a Pakoda. If you are eating a Samosa today, you can eat a Pakoda tomorrow. But in life choices, samosa-pakoda theories do not work, if you are having something today, the other one would have been drowned in sea by that time, lost.

I always dreamt of having a mic in my hand, billions of strange people cheering, 'Agrata! Agrata!', singing so well and hosting a concert. Earlier, singing was where my heart was, and I used to sing quiet well. I wanted to be a pop-star, a WORLD FAMOUS pop-star.

On the other hand, my dream of playing the Ukulele was even bigger. I used to watch music videos on YouTube, and loved Youtubers who experimented with different instruments. Ukulele was one of them (it is like a smaller guitar with four strings, and is a Mexican instrument). I loved YouTubers like Kurt Hugo Scheider.

A day came when I kept thinking of Ukulele and singing, Ukulele and singing, Ukulele and singing. Mumma asked me whether I wanna be trained in singing or in playing the Ukulele. After hours of thinking, I told Mumma, 'I wanna play the Ukulele. Yes.'

And here I am, with the training of an entire year, playing what I Iove. I have even participated in competitions, well not won them, but at least got an idea of what Music is about. It wasn't that easy, though. I was teased everytime I used to show my Ukulele to people as they gave it weird and horrible nicknames like Ucalyptus, Guitar Ka Chhota Bhai, Baby Guitar etc. and oh, I was teased a lot. Well, I guess I ignored.

This is a decision which gave me goosebumps while deciding, and it was very important for me.
