A Christmas Meet And Meat
A Christmas Meet And Meat
Because it was Christmas! Because it was winter! Because it was cold! And because it was strawberries kept on the plate. Melanie just whirled in her skate boots all around the place with strawberries one in her hand and one in mouth and kept repeating. There was snowfall outside and she was all home alone. People die for these situations to arrive so that they can enjoy the time alone but for Melanie, it was a boring night. Her plans were canceled. Nevertheless, she was wondering what can bring her happiness at this hour and that too Christmas.
She went down the basement and started searching for her green Santa clothes. She had her brown boots as well which matched with her Green Santa clothes and wrapped herself. She also managed to collect a bag filled with chocolates and cookies. Now the toughest part! How to go outside and distribute that to friends and family? It was red alert outside. It was snow raining heavily. Roads were filled up with snow. What’s next?
She waited an hour thinking and figuring out ideas. She kept thinking of the brilliant children's movies which can give her the idea of distributing these sweets to the neighborhood.
Oh then! She thought! Why humans? Animals can be fed too. Can the cookies be given to the pets in the neighborhood? She kept all her chocolates and cookies back in the fridge and pulled out large chunks of meat from the freezer. She sliced them evenly and in huge quantities. She also pulled some ham, sausages and a huge pork belly. Those were favorites. And giving away your favorites out of genuine is the most right thing! She made three huge plates of pet-friendly meat dosage.
She wore her winter scarf on and went outside with the loaded meat bag. She kept on keeping some pieces starting of the house in her entire lane of the neighborhood. She finished the entire work in about twenty minutes. By the time she finished the homes on the left side and then with the right side, she observed the beautiful scene. She already saw dogs hovering upon the food. She clicked a picture. She smiled and went back home. She opened her fridge again for some red wine and some leftover ham sandwich. Christmas was sorted. “Merry Christmas” she uttered with cheers in the air!
Small happiness always lies in doing for others, sometimes with humans and in Melanie’s case, it was with animals on a Christmas night!
