Abstract Drama Tragedy

When Death Knell Rings

When Death Knell Rings

2 mins
275

When the death knell rings,

All attempts of the dying man shrinks,

To recognize his kinsfolk,

Who are around him to listen to his talk,

But why the dying man fails to talk at the eleventh hour?

Despite all attempts to express his last desire?

When the unuttered words are even more valuable than saphire,

Why this happens so?

Because the undying soul is being ready to desert the body and go,

As long as vani ( words) hasn't disappeared on mana ( mind ),

And mana (mind ) hasn't disappeared on prana (life),

Prana(life ) hasn't disappeared on teja (fire ),

And teja ( fire) has not disappeared on

Paradebata (supreme lord ),

The dying man would be recognizing and talking to his kins men with rattle sound,

To express his feelings, thoughts and emotions gazing around,

Lying on death bed with pulse and heart beat irregular,

With pain hard to feel or hear,

Having body temperature dropping lower and lower,

I had an occasion to meet a dying relative

Who was very friendly and talkative,

But I saw him gloomy, taciturn, looking desperately,

As if he was waiting for the last breath very sincerely,

But the moment when vani disappears on mana,

Mana disappears on prana,

Prana disappears on teja,

And teja on paradebata (Supreme lord ),

The dying man reaches at death's door

And fails to recognize and talk any more,

The icy hands of death embraces him cruelly,

Think ! how woefully the last bell rings really.
