I Sat Alone
I Sat Alone
In a cocoon of bliss,
I sat all alone.
With a gentle wind in my hair,
I sat alone.
In this place where time stood by,
to have its moment of peace.
Hearing an old rustic piano,
filled with the dust of age and pride,
In a house of memories,
I sat alone.
For all the laughter and cries that were once here,
In this sweet smell of tenderness,
from a dried rose of an old book.
I sat alone.
I thought of the old times when I was here.
All that I loved then,
and all which is lost now.
Of the bustle then,
and the silence now.
Of life then,
of death now.
I sat alone,
while time looked on.
