The Warrior

It was night, plain as ever

Soundless, gloomy and dark.

The water with the flow of the moon rippled,

And animal walked on the mushy ground, leaving it's mark.

The house in the forest was still

As seen from the Faraway snow capped hill.

Intricate carvings of predators,

Came alive magically, in need of a thirst refill.

A panther, a bear,

Walking carefully, watching every single movement.

Even the rustling of the leaves were not left out,

They made their walk towards a distinct scent.

A girl walked into the forest,

The stillness gave her shivers,

No one could see the animals but she could,

She... Was one of a kind.

Her tiptoe was loud enough for them to hear.

They followed her at a distance, like she were a deer.

Then started revealing themselves to her

And let her touch their pointy, soft fur.

She started to trust the.,

They protected her from enemies, every one of them.

She made them her pets,

But they each, had their own tiny little secrets.

The bear and the panther had grudges.

And so, decided to go against each other.

The panther's claws and teeth were sharper than knives,

While the bear was the predator of the marine life.

The girl had to choose between the two,

But she decided to go with none.

She tried to make peace between the two,

Ignoring the looks, shot like bullets from a gun.

At last, when the peace was made,

Thier tiny little secret unfurled.

Now, they were against the girl

They had surrounded her, she was caved.

As she stepped back, she tripped and fell,

Over a blade, shining like the brightest star

She picked it up and it had a mark,

Ablaze with blue, it glowed in the dark.

She remembered the mark, the glow

On the bodies of the furry predators.

And her thoughts in a flow,

Made her take the blade, and she bent down low.

Just as the panther pounced on her,

She pierced the blade, right through his fur.

A streak of light so dazzling,

This made her believe, she now knew what she was doing.

She did the same to the bear,

And both of them, now turned to dust, were no longer there.

Just then a loud noise was heard

A scroll was dropped in her palms by a bird.

It read," You have been tested.

This test was taken by many other people,

You were the only one of them who actually succeeded."

"This test was for the bravest warrior,

People came from far and wide,

But you are braver than

Any other warrior I could find."

"Your courage takes my breath away,

All the competitors failed, over so many days.

Not one could stand, all did fall,

It proved that you are the bravest of them all!"
