Frozen In Time
Frozen In Time
When I was young, I used to jump
Into my father's lap, when he returned from office
And now he complains
That I don't even notice.
Time did freeze, when
My sister jumped and sprang
Just to make me laugh
While I fell hard, laughing on the ground.
Time did freeze when I
Was carried around everywhere.
I had my first taste of ice cream
With delight and craving, I would scream.
As I think of those in numerous still and days,
Tears smeared all over my face
The passage of those times was frozen
And so was my heart.
