Ghost Writer

I was awakened by the doorbell,

It was late at night.

The postman handed me a letter and said,

"It's for you, Miss Bright."

Curious to know what was inside,

I opened it up.

I sat down to read it, sipping coffee from my cup.

The undersigned was someone called

"The Invisible Ghost",

It was an invitation to the party

that he was going to host.

Heard of the Invisible Man, The Invisible Cloak,

Who the hell was this, is this a joke?

Reading the letter further, it said,

"Welcome to the party, my sleepyhead!

You will be my guest of honor,

I am not one of those ghosts you see
