Hit The Hay

Hit The Hay

The moment my head hits the soft pillow I delve into a world of peace

I twist and turn unable to sleep

I Kick and roll trying to rest

I eventually sleep due to the heat

I might sleep due to exhaustion

But I will never sleep immediately

Once I'm in I never come out

May you shake me

Or splash freezing water, I will not come out

I'm living a life in my dream

Trying to make a world perfect for me

I love it there and never see it fit to leave

A dream it is but it soon evaporates

I forget what it is and wake up myself

Go about my day and sleep in the night

Wonder's what is in store for tonight

If I don't get enough rest

I'll hit the hay during the day

The world spins around me

I doze away in the middle of the day

I will hit the sack in the middle of a class

Sleep is vital and helps me every day

And there is always something new each day
