Bridge The Gap
Bridge The Gap
We have sealed our lips,
Curled-up our tongues,
Cupped our ears
And no words are uttered.
"How are you? How has life been?",
Is a mere formality statement
"I'm doing good. Life is great!",
Our true feelings roll down the pavement.
You keep boiling with concealed emotions
While I stay in a pensive mood,
Trying to decipher your facial expressions
But, you don't speak, you turn rude.
What is it that you have been keeping in
That weighs your heart down
And makes your head spin?
I wish to erase that frown.
Breathe out those words with ease
Don't bother, "what he/she might think?"
It won't be difficult: flow like a breeze
If you wish, pen it down in fresh ink.
I swear you'd feel better in a blink
And bring back that innocent smile:
Don't ever let it shrink.
Now, that's a good style!
