The Northern Lights

Of greens and blues

and pinks and purples

I wonder what is that canvas

up above in the sky!

The meadows are green

and the ocean is blue

but what colour is the sky

which is neither red nor blue!

It is an aurora up above

like a canvas of colours!

It is the painting

that the creator has created!!

These cosmic lights that

illuminate the northern skies

that are not often sighted

but are a sight to behold!!

I do often watch the skies,

that I might once again have a glimpse,

of the great Northern lights,

which illuminate the northern skies!!!
