The Fallen Leaf


She sat impatiently waiting for him to come,
Even the slightest sound would wake her up.
The rocking chair went back and forth,
But still she was lost in the pain of separation.
She was like a dry petal of a flower,
She was thrown and separated.
She longed to be with him, but
She was buried under the soil.
Her grit didn't let her break,
She was strong enough to come again and unite with him.
She grew once again and blossomed.
She became bright and full of life.
She smiled for her journey had begun again.
She was ready to embrace her 'new self'
