The Broken Stars

There was a tussle,

In a deep starry night,

immediately after a tight hug,

which was full of love and light.

It made a way to separate their ways,

the other said sorry, but there was no looking back

She said, "Why did you encroach my space?"

Had you forgotten to shine without me?

she continued "when alone you have no shine no glaze, you will never be able to move from your place.

He took a step back and nudged an inch,

Teary eyed, she stood still, as if gasping for breath

she was oblivious to her emotions' death.

He screamed with a heavy heart

"Here I forego my resplendence forever,

may you win this world and shine ever and ever. 

Your twinkling lights may win your hearts

but today I am broken in thousands parts."

You and I will make 'us' we

Look how we shine together

I will twinkle with you always,

just give me a chance to be with you forever.
