The Last BBye (Part 1)
The Last BBye (Part 1)
They had talked each day since forever,
One couldn’t live without the other,
The other had no such sentiment.
It was only one sided
But it wasn’t love.
He was in love with her,
So he told her
It was only a confession he made.
One word led to another
They talked throughout the night
Uptill 6 in the morning.
He understood it wasn’t possible
But he never wanted it.
She too expressed her love for him,
He in return said ‘I love you too’
But it isn’t possible.
He knew they had no future.
He overlooked his sleep for a night
Just to comfort her over the phone.
Next day her sickness was gone.
And the day was better than ever for him,
The following dark evening laid him with all the sadness in this world
She began to ignore him.
Surprised, he asked sometimes,
No reason came up.
The night
A small call took place,
From her tone and way of speaking
He understood
She was displeased.
He thought over and
It struck to him,
The proposal was missing from his side,
So he sat,
Sat throughout the sunny, blissful day
Writing his lovely letter for her.
In the end as he wrote his name,
Her stressed text came
She didn’t want it.
It was a huge no,
She simply said
His victorious ‘I Love You’
From her
Was a mere slip of tongue
In flow of momentum.
His world shattered within a second
The letter was literally burnt down.
No one would ever know what it read,
Except that broken heart,
On being asked by her,
he simply replied it was of no use now.
He called her up later at night,
Believing the pure friendship,
Would still exist between the two,
The friendly I love you’s and kisses
Wouldn’t be gone.
Yet again,
Just by her tone
He knew,
It was no more,
She asked from him
What he had every time they got too close
A break;
He knew the break
Was an end,
But yet he agreed
And they bid each other
“The Last Bbye”.
He told her to take care
And that was it.
Yet even the next morning onward,
Every ping, vibration
Or the tiniest notification on his cell,
Made him excited and
He checked to see if it was there,
But again he was reminded
It was all over now,
He found it the hardest thing to believe,
And the anti-depressing text never came.
From his favourite toffee,
She became his drug within a day
And then they told him
It went out of stock
Forever and ever.
