We Met Halfway

It was monsoon when you felt the chill,

Felt the fragrance I was filled with wonder,

As it rained the water begin to fill,

Amidst the distant thunder.

 I walked in the rain splashing my feet,

Water seeping I felt so happy and glad,

People taking shelter in the street,

Thought that I was really mad.

Then I saw her walking towards me, 

Drenched through her dress

Stopped near me and said with a smile you see.

I am totally wet and in a mess.

You too love the rain she asked so together let's walk

Come walk with me the weather is clear,

On the way, we laughed and we did talk,

She stopped said let us part ways I stay here.

The meeting left me wanting to see her once more,

So I waited for the rain to start again.

When it rained I stood once again at her door,

She saw me expecting you to let us walk in the rain.

Our love story began in drenching rain,

Like we were made for each other.

We took our vows in happiness and pain.

Come what may we would always be together. 

I remember that beautiful rainy day.

When I saw her walking in the rain.

When I met her halfway.

I met my life partner, my life was not the same again.
