Suspicion did them Part
Suspicion did them Part
The purple tinge of the dusk
Invited the two for a walk,
It didn’t take him long, to persuade her
To get out of that yellow cotton hammock.
The long day was passing by,
The birds, retreating to their nest,
But they, did not wish to part so soon,
‘Goodbye’ was a thing they would always detest.
Amidst the trees, upon the grass
They held each other’s hand;
Walking past a clump of Amaltas trees
They heard a sweet bird’s call.
The evening air seemed magical,
Yet hexed with something, that wasn’t the spring season.
How an earthy creature could ever refrain from
The magic around, but it meant sheer treason.
Behind the green shrub that stood
She lay her arms around his neck.
Within a moment she felt, her scarf getting tightened
By him, that strangled her- a day so unfortunate.
He lifted her unconscious body in his arms
And trudged up to the last tree of Amaltas;
Where once they had exchanged promises of love,
She was buried with her love- his suspicion breathed its last!
