A Hand To Hold

A hand to hold mine always,

To let me stay strong;

It makes me believe in myself

Accepting me, the way I am, to where I belong.

A heart that would cry for me when I am sad,

Yet rarely shows its own tears;

It intends to make me determined and persevering,

That I must not break down or give up, it fears!

A heart that feels my emotions,

Never to make me emotionally weak or dependent;

She makes sure, that I haven’t surrendered myself to life’s adversity-

That, I am her same old confidante.

A hand that holds mine always, whether near or far-

that doesn’t much applaud my actions, but reassures me;

More than the belief I have in myself,

My friend, you vest your faith and confidence in me.
