Protected In The Wild
Protected In The Wild
Exotic and vibrant looks you don
Plenteous hues you spread;
Lavish growth occupies the glades
Up to the ends of the area, where your cultivars are bred.
“Wildflowers”, is how you are often categorized as,
Delicate you are, like a flake of snow;
Open to climate changes, preserved far away in the forest,
Protected strongly by the laws of that land, where no greedy hands can go.
How often, we say, the laws of the civilized world
Are meant to protect all lives;
Curious I find, that these delicate orchids, find a safe home
Not in the lawfully-minded cities, but in the untamed wild.
