Twilight Fervour

The setting sun cast its spell on the rosy sky

His eyes reflected the depth of his soul within

A flicker of smile chased across his lips

I closed my eyes as his face moved closer

His breath on my face was slow and delicate

A strange tingling ran down my spine

I counted the moments in anticipation

He was inches away

The waves crashed against our feet

His hands held me in a tight embrace

A pulse of electricity rushed

up to my neck and broke over my cheek

The wind swept the loose strands off my face

His lips moulding hot and soft met mine

His tongue tentatively tested the seal of my lips

I parted them, and he pushed inside

It felt like my heart had finally found

the rhythm to its lost poetry

His hands ran along my waist

Like a river meandering through the plain

His kiss ignited my flesh beneath

I was breathless for seconds

Until the heat spread within me

It was startlingly sweet and achingly familiar

This passion was new to us,

But our souls had known each other.

In a galaxy full of stars,

I had finally found someone to call mine.
