When we face the world as we step out,

Mother feels proud without a doubt.

But her nest gets emptier by the day,

No one is left to talk, hear or say.

All she wants is for her children to succeed,

That's more important to her than any other need.

Once in a while when her kids visit her,

It always gives her immense pleasure.

Craving for her grandchildren's happy laughter,

She spends her golden years with unshed tears.

Even when you fail to come once a year,

Remember she won't ever force you dear.
