Self-Shelter: Standing Tall Alone
Self-Shelter: Standing Tall Alone
In battles fierce, I stand alone,
No hand to hold, no comfort shown.
The world around, a curious crowd,
Their whispers harsh, their voices loud.
In shadows deep, my fears reside,
No refuge found, no place to hide.
Yet in this storm, a light I see,
A spark of strength, a will in me.
I water plants with tears I've shed,
No others' hands, my soul has bled.
In solitude, I find my might,
To face the dark, to fight the night.
The whispers of a world unkind,
Their motives dark, their hearts confined.
But in my heart, a fire burns bright,
Guiding me through the darkest night.
With every scar, a lesson learned,
In every trial, my spirit burned.
I build my walls, a fortress high,
To shield my heart, to reach the sky.
In moments when the world’s too much,
I find my peace in my own touch.
No need for others' fleeting care,
For in myself, my strength I bear.
God’s promise whispers in my ear,
“You’ll face no trial you can’t bear, my dear.”
With faith and fortitude, I rise,
To face each challenge, clear my skies.
For battles fought and battles won,
Are victories when faced alone.
In solitude, my soul has grown,
A warrior's heart, my strength is known.
So let the curious watch and see,
Their judgments never breaking me.
For in this life, I’ve come to know,
The fiercest battles make us grow.
In darkness deep, I’ve found my light,
A beacon burning ever bright.
No hand to hold, no need to plea,
For I am strong, and I am free.
