The Audacious Being

The Audacious Being

Birth in this land was my fate,

Should I surrender for devastated is my state.

But along my breath duties were offered,

How will I face those above who have suffered.

I am standing here, I will battle,

Let my land and my people settle.

My eyes are open wide in the dark,

Don't worry my friends, you won't be affected by any spark.

Rain may come, lightning may strike,

Winds can be bitter, directions may not be right.

But my feet will not stop because there are miles left to cover,

The pain of bullet wounds remind me that the war is still is not over.

Rewards and glory are not my intentions,

I will never be selfish for providing you protection.

I take pride in love that I offer,

Don't let me see hatred, it makes me suffer.

I am scared to look into the eyes of my enemy,

For in them I see myself standing with my army.

With the same motive, we together fight for our motherland,

How do we explain the shiver when we take each others blood in our hands.

Separations in my life have been sworn,

It's a tragic story written from the day I was born.

Every passing second measures my life,

Unknown is the truth to me for when will I die.

All know that I am strong and not beaten up by any odds,

But everyday I am scared, so at night I send my prayers to God.

I can be stiff and bold from outside,

But returning back home is the hope I keep inside.

I know the path I have chosen will end me one day,

Somewhere in my heart and mind I have accepted the truth in my way.

For I know that when my body will reach my home, breathless or alive,

Either I will hold the flag or lay peacefully with crowds on my side.

I am human, I have a last wish,

If I fall down, please close my eyes.

Clean my body and leave no blood stains on me,

I want my body to be handed over to my family, for they will see me.

When I will keep my head on the pillow

Cover me with the flag.

Don't cry for me, it aches my heart,

Fill me with pride that I deserve.

Last words told by me are weighted,

I am still alive and very much fitted.

I am not going anywhere, I am still here,

Silently watching over my mother to end all fear.
