To The Boy I'll Never Have
To The Boy I'll Never Have
In the realm of unrequited desires,
I pen these words, my heart's lament,
For you, dear boy, who holds my thoughts,
Yet remains entwined with another's love.
In this bittersweet symphony of longing,
My soul dances to a melancholic tune,
For I am but a silent observer,
Watching from afar, yearning for your touch.
I see the way she clings to you,
Her laughter echoing in your embrace,
And though my heart aches with envy,
I cannot deny the beauty of her place.
But oh, how I dream of intertwining fingers,
Of whispered secrets shared beneath the moon,
Of stolen glances and stolen kisses,
Of a love that could be, if only it were true.
Yet I know the path I tread is treacherous,
For it's paved with shattered hopes and dreams,
And so I keep my feelings locked away,
Hidden deep within the chambers of my soul.
In this silent solace, I find solace,
For I am content to cherish you from afar,
To admire your spirit, your laughter, your smile,
Even if it's a love that can never be ours.
So, dear boy, know that you are cherished,
In the secret recesses of my beating heart,
For though we may never share a lover's embrace,
I'll forever hold you dear, even if we're apart.
And so, I'll continue to write these words,
A testament to a love that cannot be,
For in this unrequited tale, I find solace,
Knowing that my heart still beats, even when set free.
