A Life-giving Force

No more stories, no more of his blessings will come my way; one who shaped me has gone away.

I know not how to reckon, this was not the time, for me, it is too soon.

My heart shrank at the glance, the face of grace; turned pale.

Motionless hands; his body looked stale

That affectionate voice -will never be heard again.

He had lain lifeless, 

I bitterly cried at the fateful sight ..

 Some people came for an embrace; others with flowery words of solace.

"One who is born will die for sure, so let's be straight," the tough ones said.

When I was drowning in the ocean of the woeful emotions,

What you once said came as a 'spur '

"Beyond you and me, there, is, a 'power'

A life-giving force, that directs life to ran its course,

And when it ran out, it goes back to its source.
