All That Can be
All That Can be
All That Can Be
I’m guilty,
for hiding my shadow in the dark;
for justifying my regrets
with bullshit;
for everything that was not,
and will never be.
Putting aside redemption
for cowardice;
putting aside the changes
for the fear to fail;
putting aside the future
for a dissatisfied present.
The great tragedy erected in the lack of power,
in the rejection of what I don’t appear to be,
and in the atrocious decisions
that haunt me restlessly.
After so much waiting
only this remains,
where the past will give me the courage
to move to the light and never return;
the courage necessary
to face all that can be, that will be.
