The efforts you have invested 

In my life 

Even I fail to put in as much effort 

The unconditional love you have for me 

Mother, even if I had seven lives, I would fail to match it 

You see through my face 

No matter how much I lie 

You are my mother; you know me better than I know myself 

From my first steps to this day when I walk 

The support you gave got me to where I am 

You teach me how much someone can do 

For someone other than themselves 

These words I write or anything I do 

Mother, they won't be able to show even a fragment of what you have done for me 

Just like the roots that give stability and sustenance to a tree 

You have done the same, Mother, for this family and especially for me. 

All the smiles, hugs, encouragement, and support you gave me 

I see your love shining through, Mom, no treasure from this world or the heavens can compare with your love 

Mom, I'm incredibly grateful for your love, guidance, and sacrifices. 

You've not only given me life but also taught me how to live it with grace and kindness.
