Saqi : A Roseate Sonnet

Pour the ecstatic heaven, oh Saki

One sip and I shall become the Pakhi, (bird)

Who hates, discards the remains of old days,

And of previous births, to find new ways.

Ways to be one of his kind. Paradise

Is his desired destination, for wise

Aves of his age became one, once again

With the divine soul's grace, bearing the pain.

Let my heart sink in that joy, sing their song,

The quest for gospel, let that song live long.

Ravenous, this soul seeks your muse, Saki

One sip and I will become that Pakhi. (bird)

So serve it to all, its enthralled fragrance

Evanescence, let me be that ambiance.
