Ashes of Life
Ashes of Life
Let me be the ashes of death
Smothering the air of a cemetery
Let me fly with the whiskey air
Kissing dews of dead crematory.
Let me sleep as the chilled charcoal
Of bones, dusted on green green leaves
Let me be the song, immortal
Of mortal music that the nomad weaves.
I might not peep into washed memories
Let me just leave a vague footprint.
I won't come back, down those lanes
So let me just stare at that imprint.
Let me be all that that you can feel
And become restless to see me.
I shall surpass to the nothingness of beauty
A dark geek as you had once named me.
Let me cherish those grasses evergreen
Golden they turn when wiser indeed.
We live in doings, not in decades
So let me relive only in my deed.
