Loving Solitude

Loving Solitude

The darkest of nights bring the heaviest waves of solitude.

The sheer blackness twins the bleakness of my fate,

The eerie silence befriends my forsaken reveries,

Scared hands reaching the sides, craving affection, sits disappointed on my jittery stomach,

Nudging the loneliness of my life.

Right to left, left to right I turn,

My mind races the darkest roads that burn.

Then why I lack the eagerness of sun?

Night may hurt but day might shine?

Or have I fallen for this solitude of mine?

I crave what this darkness has to offer me,

The hope of sunshine after a gray night of plea,

The silence that lets me free my 'forsaken reveries',

The loneliness which reminds me of my muse,

And, racing through the darkest roads my victory is evoked.

I don't wish the darkness to end so soon,

For, I crave the remembrance of my victories that'll defy my future demons.

So, yes, I have fallen for the solitude that built me,

And I spend hours awaiting this wave that brings my love after an aimless day.
