Teacher

When one can distinguish right from wrong or good from bad

She then takes her rightful place the teacher at home

From when the clock strikes 6 it's time for morning charge

Then shower and straight for breakfast

At 7:15am it's a short walk to school

When the day is done back to the house no later than 330pm

The chores from dishes to pots and pans

The laundry to mops and buckets brooms and knives

Are the chores in a week are the lessons with mom the teacher at home

It's not done for you see there's still the weekend to consider

Saturday is a trip to the market place then to the shops 

Wise spending a lesson out there to not get wants but needs

Then come Sunday for Sunday school

Then the service for the bigger children and adults

All in a week she is the teacher at home

Nurtures and moulds her children for the future 

Mom my hero and my teacher 

Now I know what it means to be a teacher for my own children today
