-Thorns & Thistles
-Thorns & Thistles
She seemed to always have a smile on;
The strongest woman I ever met;
She never complained;
Like her mind was made of steel;
And her will to succeed even stronger;
Not only I,
A few of us felt this way,
Though she is a woman;
We admired her anyway;
But we-
We never understood her pain;
From the dark history behind her name;
We thought her an angel;
A true saint;
But little did we know;
This saint was tainted;
Knowing more about the thorns
And thistles of this world than we;
Feeling every moment more than we could see;
Trying desperately to escape her demons,
Till one day she was no more;
Like the dew from heaven-
She was,
And then she wasn't
She had left us too soon;
She was gone
And by the hand of no other;
Truly,
One can never understand a soul
- till you've felt its pain;
This day I learnt
We all battle demons
That won't always stay at bay,
