Do You Miss Me, Mother?

Do You Miss Me, Mother?

Mother, do you miss me?

Remember how we used to sing,

Everyday as we cooked together?

How you called me your soul sister?

How we tied our hair the same way?

How you said I was your best gift?

How you said I was your beautiful angel?

Do you miss those days, mother?

You said I was your lifeline,

Your only straw to live,

You said I saved you from the hell

But why did you lie to me, mother?

You said he'll take care of me

That he will love me and make me happy

Why didn't you save me, mother?

Why did you leave me to bear the pain?

When they kept beating me,

You told me it's called love

I didn't want that love, mother

I only want the love we had

You told me to adjust, so I did, mother.

But look where that got me

I look down from the sky to see you

One last time before I go

Is that you crying, mother?

Why didn't you come, when I cried?

It hurt so much, mother!

They poured some liquid on me

And then my body was on fire

I cried and begged, but they just laughed

I hoped you'll save me, mother

I believed you were my superhero

But nobody saved me that day, mother

I went through the pain all alone

Are you proud of me, mother?

Am I your strong daughter now?

Are you disgusted because I look ugly?

Mother, why did I have to bear the pain?

Why didn't you save me from the hell?

Don't you love me, mother?

But I loved you till the end

I wish I could say my goodbye

Do you miss me, mother?
