An Ode to Women
An Ode to Women
A million memories come to mind,
When one thinks of the past you've left behind.
You've spent days troubled with issues like these,
Discrimination, inequality, body shaming.
Everything which made the life in you, freeze.
Yet you still fought, showering us with all your love,
Each and every one of you is a blessing from above.
With you there's laughter, with you there's crying,
You've seen it all, but you've never stopped trying.
I hope the strength in you will never shatter,
For you are the ones, because of who we matter.
A spirit like yours is all one could crave,
The tests society throws at you, every last one you brave.
Without you, the world will come to an end,
Because you are a woman, a fighter, a mother, a wife, a partner, and a friend.
