The Bazzar Here!
The Bazzar Here!
The wind was stubborn and the sun was shining at its might,
Still it could not overshadow the clothes sparkling so bright
The lanes were small and crammed with vehicles more wide
The roads were encroached and decorated with the pride
There were no instructions and signals to guide the mob
Even if they looked around for help all they find are snobs
The faces were eager, the eyes were restless to find
A shop filled with necessity and the voice so kind
Women were bargaining men were looking around
Just to ensure no one is hearing all these sounds
The sellers were shouting and calling in all weird voices
But they were deaf to the crowd shrieking their choices
To allure their buyers they displayed the best on the dusty roads
But the customers were smart to understand these street codes
The bazaar was drenched in smell of fruits and fish
Kids were throwing tantrum on road for the car they wish
The beggars were whining in pain that was long-lost
They earn to fulfil their worldly need at a heavy cost
I was standing at the corner looking at an old soul
His face was cracked, eyed dead and darkened like a kohl
He was not begging, he was not selling or buying his needs
He was just sitting blankly while sniffing through a weed
He saw me looking at him, and gave me a toothless grin
I was not sure what to do next so smiled back like djinn.
It made his face warm like the sun shining in the sky
and with this warmth I left the market telling him good-bye.
