Being Human
Being Human
Feminism is not what I demand,
So here I am, taking my stand
Stand to treat me as a normal being,
Not some princess from Venus where I have never been
I want the liberty to be me,
Being judged by none, that's all what I want it to be
I know it's our society and we are years back
But this is the only mindset where we all lack
Look I never asked for breasts or an hourglass shape
Not sorry to attract attention, and it's not an invitation to rape
I have the same legs as you have yours
So why would eyes turn as soon as I enter through that door
Eyes won't stop gawking my chest
A daily routine for us to get molest
Giving a voice to my thoughts, portrays me as a whore
I am seriously not an object for you to lure
Some kill us, before our birth on earth,
Whereas some make us feel what we are actually worth
Treated as filth of dirt by some members of society,
While places exist where we rule the world being a mighty
We are no delicate, don't treat us as one
We can drink, smoke and can have any kind of fun
We come in all shape and sizes just like you
Just try to see this world as I view
Can be a working women or housewife
Just give me the liberty to chose my own way of living life
Get over the double standard,
It's high time to treat equally every gender
The world is going to be a better place
But advancement is at a very slow pace
Embrace the change as soon as you could,
As you and I want a progressive nation for our own good …
