Remember we used to Friends?
Remember we used to Friends?
We've been playing hide and seek
Your haughty profile clashing with my meek
But you never declined me for weak
You'd pull me to the game, the cheek
Then one day something came to be
We grew up, you see
Suddenly you went away from me
You became an "I" from "we"
I without whom not a game you begun
You said playing with your other friends was not as fun
Together we'd jump and run
Paper boats in rain puddles, eating ice cream in the Sun.
Oh my friend you may have grown
Now you became a kind of your own
Your not in the slightest the person I had known
You would've never tossed our friendship like a dog bone
There came this day when
I had to write down my thoughts through a pen
You hid quite well in my count of one to ten
Unable to find you, I'm starting over again from where we began
