The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse
Stuck on an island, middle of nowhere
I cried for help.
Paper planes flied, noble men died
Afraid of cruise's yelp.
I made my home with sticks and stones,
My bones broke with the words of fishermen.
And darling, I'm scared.
Won't you take me home?
Won't you take me home?
Rescued by pirates, death meets judgement
Can't get any worse.
Sea storm clanked, the sloop sank
From the cedar's curse.
But I survived and swam back to the island,
Is it another exile?
And darling, I'm scared.
Won't you take me home?
Won't you take me home?
The fishes laughed and the birds frowned,
Like water off the duck's back.
