If I Came From A Novel

I want to change myself to what I want to be 

Like how they are in the books

Strong, fashionable, brave or weird

Alluring in behaviour or by looks

What if I got a chance

Then I would probably write what would happen tomorrow 

Erase a yesterday, interesting add ons

I'll live in the ideas from novels I borrow

I wouldn't have people 

Who tell me to mind my own business

Or the neighbor's who turn their backs

I'll be free of all this mess

I could get up and look at myself

And feel there is something to live for

There are actually emotions involved

Except for disappointment and boredom

People from the books wake up to something 

New or exciting, or worthwhile 

Not predictable events of eating and sleeping 

I know I'm waiting on a blank file

Give me a pen that writes the novel of life

I'll add some lines, cut the rest

Then I'll not be breathing for the sake of it

I'll live a graphic novel, one of the best.
