Sister

You had me before I had you.

You loved me before I loved you.

As I got older

Your body became weakened

Now your my little sister

But that's just our little secret..

You see my sister had seizures

So I was her protector

Where she went, I went

I had to protect her!

Only for so long

Our God came along

He called my sister home

Then, she was gone..

Numb my body fell

I've awakened from "life's" spell

Thought she'd be able to live and tell

Overcoming her condition

Hoping she'd prevail.

Selfish I was

Wanting her here to stay

Knowing all her days alive

All she did was pray

Loved angels too

Spoke to them as well..

In the moment it didn't matter to me

Shit felt like hell

My mother's pain

My brother's

Mine intertwined

Time stood still

Hated to leave her behind

Where is my mind

Thought I seen her moving in the casket

I thank God I got to have her

Wish It could have lasted..

I'm basking in the light of it all

At least I try to

What's above me

Ain't got a choice to

God blessed her with healing

As well as eternal life

An affliction to her flesh

Could not dim her light.

My sister's an angel.

My angel is My sister.
