I Am The Moon

Ghost has become a host

I am the moon,

Bright shining in the night sky.

My light is only seen within darkness.

I'm present in the daytime.

Yet the sun outshines my radiance.

I'd rather share my rays with the stars,

As they are

Equally beautiful.

Shared darkness,

Radiant lights,

Casting beauty within the night.

I'm never alone 

Amongst my skies.

I have stars by my side.

Long nights shared together.

The sun shines, 

Limited to weather.

Or not, 

Otherwise surrounded by lingering clouds.

Often jealous,

And blocks it out.

I find comfort in the darkness,

Accompanied by starry pals.

Gathering from miles and miles.

Yes, I may shine brighter than they do.

Yet we shine together,

Connecting the dots,

An enlightening view.

I am the moon.
