Pebbles
Pebbles
All passionate calls
And ornate plumage
Could have pulled down the clouds
But you didn't move.
Crestfallen, puffed chest out
Stretched out hanging in the air
To steal a hug with the eyes
That you closed in the milieu.
Courtships fling their shadows
To flaunt fortune and plunder
Pitted against amore and warmth
You feigned ignorance.
Distanced to evade conspicuity
Lekking through a barrage of tex
ts;
Desperate, pulled to the inner circle
Friends, family, and relatives
Gambit for private parleys stalled
You remained nonchalant.
Rock priorities molded the cornice
The fresh move dropped like pebbles
Ripples touched the shore
But receded and died in between.
Perhaps
Stirred up love way too soon,
Conceived to elope
With Eagle's free fall,
Forgot to wait and wield
Like Flemingo turning pink!
