Winter Spread The Cheer
Winter Spread The Cheer
Fall hardly sipped, Winter befalls us
Boreas bring cold in the North
Cool breeze squeeze all greens
Herbs to creepers to mammoth oak,
Thick fugs hide the Sun
Snow flakes settle all around
Milky mountains sparkle off and on
overlooking the cloud folded forests
Sprouted from little acorns
Long long ago, who keeps count!
When Critters looking for warmth
Wrinkled trunk, shedding leaves,
In harsh weather finding for cover
Penetrate deeper into Earth' belly
Regenerating for the Spring to come.
Mankind rest, meditate and recoup
As if Hercules drinks from Hera's breast
Emerge as strong and invincible.
Winged glory fly unbridled
Blinded by Summer of Success
Bound to pause and reflect
Else, like Icarus,
May crash down to earth!
Life's winter is your Oyster
Spread the Cheer! Spread the Cheer!!
